**Assistant IT Technician**

**Duties / Responsibilities**:

- Troubleshoots problems with equipment, systems, and connectivity issues; makes adjustments and repairs as necessary.
- Install and provides maintenance and support for every aspect of electronic equipment such as computer hardware, software, networking and telephony.
- Moves, sets up and arranges computer equipment as needed.
- Performs virus and/or malware removal.
- Maintains records of all computer and network hardware repairs.
- Monitor network availability, performance and security.
- Oversee troubleshooting for system errors.
- Procurement of hardware and software from suppliers where necessary.
- Ability to travel to various locations of the group’s stores as and when needed.
- Ensuring all software purchased licensing is recorded and maintained
- Ensure that a high level of customer service and support is provided to computer users
- Adhere to company protocol as laid out in the company policy and procedures
- Escalate IT issues to the IT Manager where necessary

**Qualifications**:

- Matric
- A+
- N+
- S+ (advantageous)

**Knowledge & Experience**:

- 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Client desktop & network support - essential
- Experience working with Google and Google Suites, Microsoft products including Windows, MS Office as suites
- Microsoft 365 (advantageous)
- VOIP
- Printer setup and maintenance

**Other Requirements**:

- Own transport and mobile phone
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Ability to work with all levels of business - from shop floor to executive
- Be passionate about IT

**Salary**: Up to R18,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Phoenix, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (required)

**Experience**:

- IT Technician: 3 years (required)
