Area Security Manager needed to develop and roll out the best security practices for the security discipline at North Stations.

Primary Purpose: The purpose of the position is to develop and roll out the best security practices for the security discipline at North Stations
Work Context and Environment: You will work 08h00 to 16h00.You will be expected to three-night shift per month. You may be required to start work early and some shifts will mean that you will finish after the last train.
Job description / core competencies:
**Security Compliance management and carry out audits.**
Security Compliance management and carry out audits at the stations.
Training and development of security practice and officers.
Manage Security Service Level Agreements and ensure compliance at the stations.
Security Logistics management
Security Special Projects.
Security master technology plans and Systems.
Crime Intelligence gathering; profiling and vetting.
Investigations of security incidence at the stations
Interface with other security and law enforcement agencies.
Unit and staff management
**Training and development of security practice and officers.**
Organisational development of the security practice in line with current and future security requirements.
Development of career pathing for security practitioners
Establish future security needs and ensure that staff are prepared in advance.
Participation in the development of the Strategic workforce plan and set up current and future security training requirements based on future company objectives.
Shop floor training on the use of security tools
Develop and establish training gabs for shop floor staff and ensure that the training gabs are closed.
Sharpen the skills of officers in gathering and providing evidence in disciplinary enquiries, CCMA and courts.
Development of specialized skills necessary for the operations including investigation/profiling etc.
**Manage third parties through Service Level Agreements and ensure compliance.**
Manage the Service Level Agreement (SLA) with the respective specific Security Service Provider (SSP) contracted about:
Implementation of the requirements of the SLA, tender Specifications and Performance Based Penalty Regime (PBPR).
Attend and Engage in Service Delivery Performance meetings with the Security Service Providers (SSP) in terms of the PBPR and SLA.
Ensure that corrective actions are implemented by the SSP.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements applicable to the SSP and service. Monitor, review and evaluate the service delivery at the stations.
Receive, inspect, and validate the weekly schedules on monthly basis and monthly invoices to be within the Bill of Quantities (BoQ) approved budget.
Ensure the development of a monthly PBPR non-conformance-based threat and vulnerability report to be issued to the SSP for the specific station.
Ensure that the BOC15 is signed and submitted to the security administrator every week.
Involved in the review and improvement of the tenders (Guarding, etc.) applicable to the specific environment.
Involved in development and review of SSP’s SOP
Arrange and chair the risk committee meetings every month
**Security Logistics managements**
Ensure that all security apparatus is sourced and stored, dispatched in line with procedures.
Manage a system to ensure that all security tools and apparatus are serviced and kept in good use.
As necessary ensure that all tools and apparatus have necessary licenses and training is provided for responsible users.
Consistently source new way to manage the security inventory
**Crime Prevention and Risk Management**
Ensure the safety and security of the assets of the Gautrain.
Advise the Company on the security risk that might affect the operation at the Gautrain stations.
Ensure strict adherence of all security regulations across all departments in the Company.
Ensure the implementation of the security plan including necessary corrective actions.
Gautrain Rules in terms Control of Access to Public Premises and Vehicle Act, 53 of 1985.
Enforce access control in terms of section 2(2) and 2(3)(a) of the Gautrain Rules to the public and workers. Analyze and manage the internal and external threats and vulnerabilities.
Manage the implementation and reporting of specific crime prevention processes / strategies to curb specific threats and vulnerabilities.
Engage with Rapid Rail Police Unit (RRPU) to discuss threats and vulnerabilities, trends, and crime prevention actions.
Ensure that the pre-deployment of SSP is complied with, to address the risk of the stations and its precinct.
Ensure that qualitative incident reporting, PC4S1 and PC4S1 OS1 / OS
