- Receive quotation requests from existing and prospective customers
- Making use of a standard or customer specific rate sheet to prepare quotations based on freight criteria
- Submission of quotations to customers on a timeous basis
- Communicate accepted quotations to operations controllers
- Follow up on quotations not approved, and reporting unsuccessful quotes and reasons to Commercial Manager
- Liaise with transporters on dedicated loads and put pricing together for commercial manager approval
- Ensure that queries are resolved in conjunction with operations controllers, solutions are found and communicated to the customer
- Follow ups and queries are followed through until customer is satisfied
- Complaints are communicated to controllers and ensure complaints are captured onto the TMS system
- Work in conjunction with operations controllers if customers require urgent track and trace

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Matric
- Certificate or Diploma in Transport or SCM
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working in the freight / logistics industry.
- A good working knowledge of CRM
- Estimation experience required
