- REPORTS TO: Operations Manager- INTERACTION WITH: Production Manager, Supervisors/Production co-ordinators, Administration assistant, Technical- FUNCTION: Efficient running and proactive maintenance of factory equipment and facility (processing plant)- JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- ** **Millwright (preferable), Electrical competency, Computer skills, Job relevant knowledge and skills- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that all equipment is operational
- Ensure that all equipment is serviced according to suppliers’ specifications (this may be completed by internal or external)
- Ensure that goods and services are procured to equipment specification
- Ensure that goods that purchased are of the correct quality match specifications
- Oversee all activity of the maintenance department drawing up work schedules
- Establish the human and material resources that required carrying out flawless work
- Work with peers to implement the company policies and goals
- Ensure that all spares are stored in a secure and access controlled area
- Ensure that stock levels are monitored and recorded periodically as per company requirement
- 10. Communicate with Procurement and Production on any issues related to breakdowns within production- 11. Schedule and perform minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment.- 12. Perform preventative maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis- 13. Continuous inspection and check up on preventative maintenance/break down jobs that were carried out by his team- 14. Complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures- 15. Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required- 16. Assist with the renovation / remodelling of buildings, repairs plaster and drywall, paints building structures- 17. Ensure that there is a preventative maintenance plan for all equipment within the factory- 18. Maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures- 19. Obtain estimates for suppliers, repair parts, order parts as needed- 20. Maintains and update list of emergency numbers for suppliers and critical supplies of utilities- 21. Manage spares ensuring that there is an effective procedure regarding security and issuing- 22. Responsible for the accurate documentation of all jobs carried out in the factory daily and periodically- 23. Ensure that QA documentation is complete and timeously handed over to QA- 24. Ensure that all external communication meets the company standard portraying a professional image- 25. Respond to internal and external customers’ requests timeously- 26. Ensure that external suppliers/service providers are aware of company policies regarding procurement, quality assurance- 27. Control and approval of overtime and leave- 28. Coaching and development of resources to meet business objectives- AUTHORITIES
**:

- 1. Stop individual machinery/equipment or whole production lines in case of operational or safety conditions are not met with requirements and bring them to the attention of the Operations Manager with immediate effect- 2. Quarantine and/or rejection of unusable/unsafe part that would jeopardize production- Adherence to all GMP’s and food safety disciplines in the factory. Food safety is everyone’s responsibility as well as ensuring that all products are produced to the correct quality standard-
**Inherent Requirements**
- JOB REQUIREMENTS: Qualified Millwright (preferable), Electrical competency, Computer skills, Job relevant knowledge and skills- Previous Maintenance Management experience in the FMCG/Food&Bev industry- Residing in the East Rand- CRITICAL SKILLS NEEDED:

- TRAINING NEEDS:
- HR including disciplinary code and enforcement by HR Administrator/HR Consultant
- Hygiene i.e. HACCP, GMPs by Food Technologist

- Emergency repairs
- Work hours will be 07h00-17h00, Mon-Fri.- Must be willing to be on call over weekends (alternate).**What Qualification**
