Dynamics of the Role

Independently or with limited supervision, in this business continuity position, you will work closely with all levels of the organization. You will frequently interact with peers, the Law Department and business unit operations, providing business continuity and crisis management related support.
The Team’s Focus
Compliance is responsible for the creation, implementation and execution of global compliance programs and policies. We provide TransUnion with compliance direction, support, oversight and training resources, and monitor risk and internal controls. Our team members maintain strong partnerships with TransUnion businesses that extend the reach and impact of the compliance program. Team members are problem-solvers and project managers, who encourage development and provide recognition for good work.
What You'll Bring:
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor degree
- 3 - 5 years business continuity experience
- Must have skills and knowledge in the business continuity discipline involving the integration of theory and principles with organizational practices and procedures
- Ability to work nights and weekends during a crisis event
- Must have the ability to work in and navigate a dynamic and sometimes ambiguous environment
- Must be detail and deadline oriented; flexible to rapid change
- Must have logical, problem solving, consultative and communication skills
- Ability to achieve job objectives and solve problems where analysis requires evaluation of variable factors. Results of findings may alter operations within a business unit or multiple business units
- Ability to work independently, with some guidance on complex problems and strategy
Not Required, but Preferred
- Experience with Fusion Risk Management solution
- CBCP, MBCP or related business continuity certification
Impact You'll Make:
What You Will Do
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop program initiatives like training, awareness and process enhancements and guide their implementation into a final product or service that has impact across departments or enterprise wide.
- Monitor threats to TransUnion associates, facilities and critical business processes globally and support teams in crisis management response when any type of crisis occurs. For example, natural disasters, pandemics and other events that may impact our people and critical processes.
- Planning and preparation of communications, requiring skill, tact, persuasion and/or negotiation to accomplish the objectives of the communications.
- Educate and communicate business continuity requirements, policies, standards and procedures to business/internal stakeholders as they relate to projects and strategic initiatives.
- Keep up to date on emerging business resiliency trends, new methods and best practices and in collaboration with your supervisor recommend enhanced strategies.
- Independently provide prompt and accurate technical support for users of the business continuity management system.
- With direction from senior management support program reporting requirements as needed.
