Merchandise Manager

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND** - Bachelor's or higher level degree with an emphasis in Supply Chain/Merchandise Management, Finance or business. - Five or more years of experience managing within an Head Office Merchandise Environment - Retail Planning and Merchandise Management experience > Ability to understand technology and how this impacts supply chain/Merchandise strategies. - Experience working in a similar environment preferred OTHER SKILLS, **KNOWLEDGE, ATTRIBUTES AND PERSONAL QUALITIES** - Project management and systems implementation experience - Ability to communicate and influence at all levels in the business - Ability to work autonomously and part of a team - Exceptional organisation, time management and multi-tasking skills - Aptitude with numbers and understanding of accounting concepts - Ability to achieve deadlines - Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy - Outstanding attention to detail - An understanding of and appreciation of Cotton On’s Core Purpose and Core Values - Flexible and thrives on challenge on a day to day basis - Reliable & helpful to all co-workers - strong customer service approach - A sense of humour **ACCOUNTABILITIES** - Manage the achievement of KPI’S Sales Budgets, Comp Sales, Comp G$ Weeks Cover within the Brand of responsibility ,making key decisions weekly that impact the financial performance - Working with the Group Planner/Planners, manage the businesses adherence to OTB budgets through Option Plan process and managing of product mix - Manage the planning functions within the brand to ensure Inventory levels are in line with company expectations of Weeks Cover - Manage and Coach all direct reports to ensure best business results and practices are achieved when interacting with all departments. Support the development of all Supply Chain staff within the brand - Manage the Visual Merchandise Process within Supply Chain. Together with Buying and VM develop and implement in-store environment that supports the product vision - Ensure the clearance process of merchandise especially in mega sales is managed to maximize profits and reflects an structured pricing scale - Enhance efficiencies through implementation of consistency and innovation of Cotton On Supply Chain processes throughout the brand - Ensure regular store visits with Supply Chain Manager and teams are held and involve key regional management to review and improve in store stock levels and presentation standards Develop and manage expense budgets for the brand portfolio ABOUT US From Australia to the world - The Cotton On Group (known in-house as COG) is Australia's largest global retailer.
