**Job Description:
Our client is a leading player in the metals industry, committed to sustainable practices and environmental responsibility. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing of approximately 400 - 500 permanent employees initially, with a stead projected increase in headcount.

**Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for approximately 400 permanent employees.
- Ensure accurate and timely disbursement of salaries, wages, and benefits.
- Handle statutory deductions, taxes, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Proficiently manage the SAGE payroll system.
- Regularly update and maintain payroll records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Stay updated on South African labor laws and tax regulations.
- Ensure company payroll practices comply with legal standards.
- Generate and analyze payroll reports for management review.
- Provide insights into payroll-related metrics and trends.
- Address and resolve payroll-related queries and discrepancies.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to resolve any issues.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the payroll function.
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

**Requirements**:Qualification and Skill**_
- **
- Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Professional certifications in Payroll or related areas will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in payroll processing.
- In-depth knowledge of the SAGE payroll system.
- Familiarity with South African labor laws and tax regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
