**THE ROLE**

As our **Financial Forecasting & Reporting Specialist**, your work will directly influence strategic decision-making, financial efficiency, and business growth. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated professional to join our team in Cape Town, South Africa. Reporting to our Head of Finance, you will support business decision-making through the preparation and analysis of financial reports, budgets, and product performance forecasts, along with external investor and KPI reporting. This role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to various stakeholders. Your expertise will be vital in driving our company's success and ensuring sustainable growth.

**IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR**:

- Develop and evaluate comprehensive financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to provide actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions
- Oversee the entire budgeting process, including the preparation of the annual budget by gathering inputs from all departments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and incorporating financial forecasts
- Continuously monitor and track performance against budgeted targets, conducting variance analysis and providing feedback to product & growth teams and recommendations to the leadership team
- Take ownership of ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, including conducting thorough variance analysis to identify discrepancies and provide insights for decision-making
- Work closely with the financial accounting team to establish, maintain, and enhance financial controls and processes, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in financial operations
- Collaborate closely with Product teams to support the successful launch of new products by developing comprehensive product forecast business cases. Work cross-functionally to ensure alignment on product launch timelines, financial assumptions, and resource allocation. Provide ongoing analysis and adjustments to forecasts based on product performance and market feedback to optimize business outcomes and drive growth

**REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in a management accounting or financial analysis role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ability to communicate complex financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- Experience in SaaS, fintech, or specific financial tools (like Power BI (YUK), Qlik, SQL, or ERP systems) is a bonus
- Seamlessly collaborate with diverse, cross-functional teams
