Embroidery Digitizer

**Full Job Description**

We are looking for a long-term employee to run and maintain our embroidery equipment. The position will likely start on a part-time basis, but can quickly be advanced to a full-time position. The days/hours are flexible, as long as they are compatible with our production schedule.

We offer a low-stress work environment in an air-conditioned building. We prefer accuracy and quality over speed and quantity. The opportunity exists to advance and/or cross-train on other print equipment including large format printer plotters, direct-to-garment printing machines, screen printing equipment, laser engravers, and more.

Your main obligation will be to fulfill our production schedule for embroidery and to maintain the machines as needed. Your initial hourly rate will greatly depend on your past experience with embroidery specifically.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate digitizing software to prepare digital files for embroidery
- Take a design from inception to finished product
- Discuss specific job requirements with clients
- Maintain, create, and organize embroidery job files in our digital system
- Clean and maintain embroidery machines and workspace

**Qualifications**:

- The ability to maintain attention to detail is required
- Previous experience with embroidery is preferred
- Graphic design experience is preferred
- Digitization experience for embroidery is preferred

**About Company**

We are a boutique-sized printshop that offers printing for small to medium-sized organizations. Screen printing, Direct to Garment, embroidery, large format printing and cutting (stickers, banners, canvas, posters, signage, and more) are all among the services we offer. Additionally, we operate a small storefront for our own designed and branded products.

We currently average 2-3 employees but are looking to grow our staff to facilitate the growth we are seeing in new clientele. We offer a low-stress work environment with plenty of room for growth

**Salary**: R5,000.00 - R6,500.00 per month

- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
