**Main Goals/Objectives**
- Assist with the installation, configuration and on-going usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment, and software.
- Interact with IT Helpdesk and support the end users timeously.
- Implement security and create awareness as per ISO 27001.
- Plan effectively in terms of expected outputs.
- Work with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.
- Work with procurement staff to purchase hardware, software, and consumables.
- Comply with asset management standards.
- Communicate effectively.

**Technical Competencies**
- Excellent knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows)
- Excellent knowledge of desktop deployment standards
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office support techniques
- Knowledge of Operating System and Application patching
- Knowledge of desktop security standards
- Competence in granular desktop backup and restore techniques.
- PC Hardware installation and replacement knowledge
- Basic networking skills (Routing & Switching)
- Ethernet Cabling and Patching skills
- Troubleshooting ability
- Knowledge of IT systems and utilities
- Knowledge of IT service delivery processes

**Salary**: R8,000.00 - R10,000.00 per month

**Education**:

- Certificate (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Cape Town, Western Cape (required)

Ability to Relocate:

- Cape Town, Western Cape: Relocate before starting work (required)
