- The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of our logistics business.
- Will be responsible for managing a team of supervisors and drivers, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and within budget.
- Will be responsible for maintaining and improving operational efficiency, managing inventory levels, and developing and implementing process improvements

**Main Job Function**:

- Efficient management of operations to ensure that the operational process and procedures are always in place to meet the requirements of all clients, and to maximize the efficiency of the branch operations
- Manage and lead a team of supervisors and drivers to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators and make necessary adjustments to meet business goals in line with the BSC
- Manage Linehaul planning and ensure SLA departures of linehaul
- Manage customer relationships and address any concerns or issues
- Develop and implement safety procedures to ensure compliance with local and national regulations
- Analyze data and provide regular reports to senior management
- Effective Load planning
- Coordinate and execute load instructions
- Prepare full handover report to dayshift/nightshift team
- Identify and report problem areas
- Manage clocking times and overtime daily, to ensure clocking accuracy and eliminate excess overtime
- Able to manage a medium sized multicultural team and demonstrating a high degree of cultural sensitivity**Inherent Requirements**
- Matric (Degree / Diploma in Logistics or related field would be beneficial)
- At least 5 years working experience in logistics in a similar role
- Reporting and effective communication
- Good problem-solving skill
- Computer literate and excel proficiency a must
- Knowledge of vehicle loading, staff management & planning
- Ability to work under pressure
- Proven experience managing a team and driving operational improvements
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software
