**The Opportunity**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental standards are met as per policies and procedures.
- Contributing to Strategy development and compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental targets at Complex level.
- Managing Health, Safety and Environmental Systems.
- Establishing and maintaining effective communication and engagement channels with the relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Managing, supporting and utilising people effectively.- Ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental standards are met as per policies and procedures.
- Ensuring safety file requirements are maintained per mine site.
- Ensuring that annual mandatory and legal compliance training is conducted.
- Facilitating annual compliance audits Liaising with Mine sites and maintaining compliance per unique mine site**Desired Qualifications**:

- A bachelor’s degree in safety management, engineering, or a related field. (NQF 7)
- At least five years of experience as a Health and Safety Manager in the mining industry.
- Highly knowledgeable about mining safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and enforce safety strategies.

**Nice-to-Haves**:

- Previous experience at Hexagon Mining, or a similar technology-driven mining company.
- Certification from a recognized safety body (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, SAMTRAC).
- A master’s degree in safety management or a related field.
- Experience in safety management in a global company.
- Advanced technical skills, with expertise in safety manage.
- Strong ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 Implementation and internal auditing experience will be an added advantage.
