We are looking for a **Commercial Assistant**to join our Cape Town team This role plays a vital part in ensuring that commercial actions, such as dynamic pricing and capacity management, are accurately implemented and distributed across booking, website and supply chain channels for Exodus Travels.

This is a full-time, permanent role working a hybrid pattern with 2 days a week working in our Century City office.

**What you’ll do**:

- Work with the Commercial Managers to identify weekly product actions and document these in the Commercial Action Sheet. Distribute this document to the Product Team and follow up with individual Product Managers to ensure that we receive timely feedback from them to put these actions into effect.
- Work with the Commercial Managers to cost straightforward regional Exodus small group tours. Aim to set competitive trip prices that also maximise profit earnings for Exodus Travels. This will require familiarisation with our internal reservations system to map out forward bookings ahead of costing exercises.
- Calculate and set price estimates for the following year’s trip departures.
- Work with the Commercial Managers to identify late departures below profitable occupancy levels. Flag these to the sales team to manage customer expectations and mitigate potential Exodus trip losses. Ensure that these departures are tracked and updated on actions regularly.
- Work in the Exodus reservations system to open, close and guarantee trip departures highlighted by the Commercial Managers for capacity management actions.
- Assist the Commercial Managers in the implementation of promotions and price discounts. Assist in instructing the removal of these discounts when the promotions end.
- Assist the Commercial Managers in ensuring that costing sheets are updated following price yielding updates.
- Assist with general Smartsheet updates and report generation.
- Assist with private group quotations.
- Assist with compilation of was/now sheets to inform the marketing team of pricing offers.
- Run spot checks on the website to ensure that pricing is displaying correctly across various markets.

- Intermediate Excel proficiency, comfortable handling large datasets, generating accurate reports, and turning data into actionable insights.
