**Job Description: Warehouse Manager**

**Position Title**: Warehouse Manager
**Department**: Warehouse / Logistics
**Reports To**: Managers and Directors
**Location**: Concord Packaging (Pty) Ltd

**Job Type**: Full-time-six (6) months’ probation

**Purpose of the Role**

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, inventory management, and dispatching of goods. The role ensures that productivity targets are achieved, processes are compliant with company standards, and that a safe and efficient work environment is maintained.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Operational Management**:

- Plan, organize, and control all warehouse activities to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
- Supervise daily receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch operations.
- Monitor and improve KPIs such as accuracy, productivity, cost efficiency, and turnaround times.
- Maintain proper stock levels and oversee cycle counts and stock takes.
- **Staff Supervision and Leadership**:

- Manage, coach, and develop warehouse staff, including supervisors and operators.
- Schedule shifts and allocate resources to meet operational demands.
- Ensure training and compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- **Health, Safety & Compliance**:

- Ensure the warehouse complies with Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) regulations.
- Enforce safe working practices and housekeeping standards.
- Conduct regular safety checks and risk assessments.
- **Inventory & Systems Control**:

- Oversee warehouse management systems processes.
- Ensure accurate documentation of receipts, transfers, and dispatches.
- Investigate stock variances and implement corrective actions.
- **Reporting & Continuous Improvement**:

- Prepare and present reports on warehouse performance, stock accuracy, and efficiency.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to optimize supply chain flow.

**Key Requirements**
- **Education & Experience**:

- Grade 12 or NQF 4
- Relevant tertiary qualification will be an added advantage
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in warehouse management.
- Experience in [industry sector, e.g., packaging/manufacturing] is advantageous.
- **Key Skills & Competencies**:

- **Proficiency in Microsoft Excel**:

- Ability to manage data, generate reports, and maintain accurate records efficiently.
- **Strong Memory & Attention to Detail**:

- Quickly recall processes, product locations, and instructions.
- Ensure accuracy in daily warehouse operations.
- **Organized & Maintains High Hygiene Standards**:

- Keep work areas clean and orderly.
- Implement systematic storage and inventory practices.
- **Excellent Communication Skills**:

- Clear and effective communication with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
- Ability to provide instructions and report issues concisely.
- **Warehouse Experience & Familiarity with Warehouse Systems**:

- Prior experience in warehouse operations.
- Comfortable using warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking and inventory

**Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)**
- Inventory accuracy and variance levels.
- On-time and complete order fulfillment.
- Warehouse productivity and efficiency.
- Compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Staff performance and retention.

Pay: R1 234,00 - R1 235,00 per month
