**Assistant Manager (Grade 13)**

**Infrastructure and Operations**

**Main Objectives**

To provide specialist technical, administrative and operational support to the Manager of the Grounds & Gardens Section.

**The Requirements**

A relevant tertiary qualification (at least an NQF level 6) in related fields of Horticulture, Landscape Technology or Parks & Recreation Management, Building Construction or Management Diploma/Degree plus approximately 4 years’ of relevant experience where e such experience includes:
- Previous experience having worked in either a large public parks and gardens or horticultural services unit
- Previous supervision and/or management experience (at least 3 years’) of having supervised and/or managed
- Project management experience would be an advantage
- A valid Code B Drivers’ License

**Remuneration per annum (Grade 13)**:
Basic Pensionable Salary per annum: R511 439.00

Cost to Company per annum (Approximately): R672 381.00

Rhodes University has a vaccination mandate as part of its Conditions of Service. The implementation of the vaccine mandate has been held in abeyance from 01 January 2023.
