Our new Data Science function will lead the path for UL to become data intelligent. The team will deliver advanced products at scale and work closely with the global team to ensure that local decisions in Unilever are augmented with insight & recommendations and to ensure we drive incremental sales and profit for the company by meeting the needs of our consumers, customers and employees.

We are looking for a passionate Agile Lead, who enjoys optimising data systems and building them from the ground up, to join the Data Analytics team.

**MAIN JOB PURPOSE**:
The Agile Lead is a servant-leader for the Scrum Team. The Agile Lead will also help those outside the Scrum Team understand which of their interactions with the Scrum Team are helpful and which aren’t. The Agile Lead helps everyone use these interactions collaboratively to maximize the value created by the team. The Africa Agile Lead will be responsible for ensuring the Scrum framework is understood and enacted. The Agile Lead does this by ensuring that the Scrum Team executes Scrum theory, practices, and rules.

**Main accountabilities**:

- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, refactoring current architecture, data governance inc. lineage, catalog and quality.
- Work with IT & D&A best practices such as version control, continuous integration and test driven development including Azure Dev Ops and Git.
- Ensure that deliverables meet or exceed functional, technical and performance requirements
- Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen
- Continuous learning of new tools & technologies via external sources that brings direct value to the business
- Support & Uniops Teams to understand the Agile Frameworks while promoting collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement while empowering the team to make decisions and take ownership of their work.
- Preparation & facilitation of Scrum metrics presentations to senior management.
- Assist in educating, guiding & coaching Scrum Teams in building and improving on velocity.
