Learning and Development Manager: Chemicals

Partner with HC and departmental leaders to identify learning needs annually in line with the business strategic and developmental requirements
- Develop Corporate and Chemicals learning program plan, scheduling and delivery management
- Create tailored functional/departmental development plans, to holistically enhance employee capability
- Measure and report on ROI for all learning interventions - track results of development plans for continuous improvement
- Coordinate and Implement Management Development Programmes - FMDP, MMDP & SMDP
- Manage learning vendors - source specialised vendors where required
- Maintain the design and delivery of business learning content, courses, curriculum, delivery channels and skills transfer methodology
- Analyse and present perspectives on business impact of different learning strategies and solutions
- Support localization of Global Learning framework
- Implement functional skills and competency mapping - Competency Framework (skills matrix and capability requirements per role in the Corporate and Chemicals areas)
- Drive Blended Learning program development to embed the 70/20/10 learning principle - identify and utilise opportunities to improve learning delivery through extended reality (VR; AR and eLearning)
- Cultivate a learning culture to encourage continuous learning
- Identify and project managed training interventions that require development in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
- Effectively manage and monitor training budget and programme expenditure in order to demonstrate return on investment
- Review BEE scoring results, identify improvement areas and work with relevant stakeholders to implement action plans to secure improved scoring.
- Managing and coordinating the implementation of various training programs (Induction, MDP, RPL, Internship and Learnerships)
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- Matric
- B Degree in HR or HRD or related field
- Minimum of 6 years’ L&D experience of which 3 - 5 years in a management position
- Occupational Directed Education Training and Development Practices (OD-ETDP) certificate
- SETA requirements (CHIETA preferably)
- Skills development legislation knowledge (SDA, SDLA, EEA, B-BBEE, LRA, SAQA Act)
- Implementation of Leadership Development Programs
- L&D programme management - learnerships, internships, and apprenticeships
- Learning and development methodologies with special emphasis on training in Technical /Engineering functions but inclusive of support functions
- Experience in People Management and working in a matrix organization
- Technical and People Skills training
