Reporting Analyst

To provide a variety of financial activities including planning, forecasting, decision support and financial accounting oversight with specific focus on performance measurement and management to enable achievement of business objectives.

**What you'll be doing**:

- FINANCIAL / MANAGEMENT REPORTING- Assist and oversee month end and year end closing transactions and procedures for reporting, including liaison with audit team and closure of audit.
- Provide affiliate support on review of accounting transactions for data accuracy and ensuring Engen is practicing good policies and meeting governance i.e. safeguard the company on IFRS, group policies and other regulatory requirements.
- Prepare Consolidated Management reporting to assess performance and identify course correction
- Assist in providing reports and presentations to Mancom members
- Identify and improve the efficiency of processes of financial transactions

PERFORMANCE MONITORING AND COURSE CORRECTION:
- Provide reporting analytics to clearly identify key trends or issues that necessitate further analysis or course correction.
- Assist in conducting Business Performance Review with Affiliates by monitoring, analyzing, and reporting the business performance against set targets for the IBD Division, identifying emerging trends, and recommend appropriate intervention plans where necessary.

BUSINESS PLANNING, BUDGETING AND FORECASTING:
- Coordinate and review on all the relevant business planning & budget inputs from Affiliates for the development of the plan in line with divisional strategy.
- Coordinate and review on all monthly forecasts for the IBD Division comprehending latest business environment and trends

CAPEX AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
- Ownership of consolidated capex reporting of Affiliates to Corporate Stakeholders
- Provide analysis of capital investment and base case evaluation
- Ensure integrity of the DCF model and financial sign off major projects

IFRS COMPLIANCE:
- Review of new contracts of affiliate ventures and highlight requirements meeting sound IFRS compliance.
- Manage and roll out new IFRS requirements to the division
- Ensure the system is automated to comply with IFRS

BUSINESS PROCESSES / FINANCE SYSTEMS:
- Identify and implement business process improvement initiatives
- Finance owner of the IBD Financial Performance Reporting system
- Ensure that IBD Reporting system is kept up-to-date, source data managed, system properly maintained, and supports the reporting requirements of the Division and the Group.

FINANACE SUPPORT (DRC, LESOTHO AND ESWATINI):
- Support Lesotho & Eswatini in a capacity as Financial Accountant i.e preparation of MMR, Business Plans and Forecasting
- Support DRC in capturing into BPC as DRC are still on acc pac

IBD DASHBOARDS:
- Develop and maintain analytical dashboards for measuring and tracking business performance across the affiliate
- Ensure user adoption and use feedback for improvements

INTERNAL CUSTOMER INTERFACE:
- Liaise and interact with all internal customers by following up on business processes & deliverables and providing support to ensure that deadlines are adhered to as per agreed SLA's.

**What you'll have done before**:

- Baseline:
- NQF Level 7 (Degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Commerce or other related fields)
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) standards
- CA (SA)
- 5 years’ experience in a similar role within Finance
- Exposure to Internal Controls, Risk Management, Data Analysis, Data Visualisations and Reconciliations

Advantageous:
- BI Analysis
- Good understanding of OHADA
- Basic knowledge of French
- Ability to work cross-functionally
