**Summary of Role**:
The Programme Coordinator will support the successful implementation, coordination, and administration of nature-based solutions (NBS) projects focused on sustainability, carbon reduction, and ecosystem restoration.

This role is ideal for a passionate and motivated individual with 1-3 years of experience in environmental management, conservation, sustainability, or similar fields, and a keen interest in expanding their skills in the carbon and nature-based solutions sector.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Project Coordination**:

- Assist in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of nature-based solutions projects across multiple geographies and ecosystems.
- Track project milestones, timelines, and deliverables to ensure that all project components are on schedule and within budget.
- Maintain regular communication with project stakeholders, providing updates and coordinating tasks.

**Research and Analysis**:

- Assist in research to support NBS projects, focusing on ecosystem services, carbon sequestration potential, and biodiversity co-benefits.
- Leverage your academic background and work experience to support the conceptualisation and development of project frameworks.

**Data Collection and Management**:

- Work with the data team to collect, analyse, and manage environmental and carbon-related data, using relevant software tools for analysis.
- Review scientific papers used for model calibration and validation.

**Carbon Project Development**:

- Contribute to drafting project documentation using carbon standards like Verra's VCS methodology, particularly for nature-based carbon credits in ecosystems such as coastal blue carbon ecosystems, rangelands, natural grasslands, and agricultural systems.

**Administrative Support**:

- Organise project documentation, including contracts, project plans, budgets, and reports, ensuring they are up to date and accessible to the team.
- Assist with drafting progress reports, presentations, and project summaries.
- Coordinate meetings, site visits, and workshops, including logístical planning and travel arrangements where required.

**Stakeholder Engagement**:

- Support communication with clients, project partners, and field teams.
- Assist in preparing presentations, newsletters, and updates for stakeholders to increase project visibility and awareness. This could involve assisting with dissemination of communication materials through translating project reports into other forms of media for sharing to clients and the broader network.

**Industry developments**:

- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging practices in sustainability, nature-based solutions and carbon markets.

**Skills, Knowledge and Expertise**:

- Bachelor’s degree (Hons) in Environmental Science, Ecology, Sustainability, Natural Resource Management, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in sustainability, nature-based solutions, carbon projects, and/or conservation projects.
- Existing knowledge and / or experience in the carbon markets, including carbon credits and carbon standards / methodologies (i.e. Verra)
- Strong organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Detail-oriented with analytical skills and an understanding of environmental data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with data management systems or GIS is an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
- A team player with an ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Passion for environmental sustainability and a commitment to climate action.
