**Main Purpose of the Role**

The position is to oversee all joint facilities. (CPT, Plumbago, DUR etc)

To manage and take overall responsibility for all maintenance, breakdowns, maintenance staff and infrastructure at the Plumbago DC. To contribute to the value of DSV mission statement and strategy. To provide a safe and healthy environment for all to work in. Interact with other DC’s to assist with breakdowns, changes and sourcing of spares.

**Job Related Requirements**
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience doing Facility Management, maintenance and preventative maintenance.
- Experience in managing a team that supports an operations division.
- Experience in creating and managing budgets to maintain the facility with preventative maintenance plans and warrantee claims.
- Sound knowledge of conveyor systems, HVAC plants, general facility related maintenance requirement.
- Own transport and valid drivers licence required.

- Experience in mechanical and electrical installations

- Experiencing with working on multiple projects

- Working with Conveyers, belting, sortation systems and autobaggers would be an advantage.
- Replacing of parts, keeping stock and managing critical spares for multiple pieces of equipment.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Manage the Plumbago maintenance functions by:

- Assuming responsibility for all maintenance processes
- Assuming responsibility for all maintenance staff
- Assuming responsibility for all maintenance infrastructure
- Assuming responsibility for all maintenance budgets
- Assuming shared responsibility for Quality, Safery, Health and Envirromnet for the DC
- Assuming responsibility for Continuous Improvement Projects as communicated by the operations
- Provide good customer service

Other Duties:

- Ensure a high standard of house keeping is maintained at the DC
- Managing Tickets and Service Levels with Ticket System
- Provide assistance where needed to other departments
- Ensuring spares consumed are replenished and that critical spare lists are kept in a managed environment
- Arranging servicing with multiple external suppliers
- Ensuring all data for audits are current and a full service history is kept up to date.
- Assisting with all other emergencies as and when required

Daily:

- Facility Inspection
- Setting of priorities for Maintenance Team
- Interaction with multiple stake holders including DSV executives
- Planning of breakdowns maintenance schedule

Weekly:

- Weekly Priorities
- Management meeting with Role players (OPS, Security, Health and Safety etc.)
- Meeting with maintenance team on:

- Preventative Maintenance planning
- Standby allocation
- Focus Points

Monthy
- Monthly Priorities
- Management meeting with MD
- Timesheet and Overtime approval
- Participative Forum Meetings with all maintenance staff
- Expense approval
- Budget and Actual Cost Review (provide monthly variance reporting on maintenance budget / actual)
- Meeting with Suppliers: Waste, Lanscapping, Cleaning, Landlord, Canteen etc.
