Urban-Econ NIKELA (Pty) Ltd requires the services of a_**_ Research Consultant_**_ for its Climate, Environment and Emerging Technologies unit._

**_ Key Responsibilities:_**
- Attend briefings/meetings with seniors/managers
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders (both verbal and written) under seniors/managers’ instruction
- Compile clear and practical work plans for deliverables with appropriate timeframes
- Conduct relevant primary and secondary research (desktop research, surveys, interviews, etc.)
- Facilitate focus group sessions and workshops
- Construct and maintain clear and neat databases of primary and secondary research
- Analyse and interpret primary and secondary data
- Draw conclusions based on the research and compile constructive recommendations
- Compile comprehensive research reports
- Prepare and deliver presentations to large audiences
- Submit work timeously to be reviewed by seniors/managers

**_Knowledge and Skills:_**
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Ability to collect appropriate primary and secondary data, verify, analyse, interpret and synthesise information
- Excellent report writing, editing and formatting skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent Excel data analysis skills
- Ability to organise time and meet deadlines

**_Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable):_**
- Minimum of Honours’ degree in Economics, Development Studies, Environmental Management, Technology Management or related field
- Driver’s licence (Code B)
- Own vehicle
