Operations Manager

Are you an experienced Operations Manager with a strong background in manufacturing and a passion for leading high-performance teams? We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our factory operations based in Alrode, Alberton.
As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of production, warehousing, and distribution processes. You will lead a team of supervisors, managers, and team leaders, driving efficiency, safety, and quality across the operation.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage day-to-day factory operations and production processes with a focus on efficiency and mínimal waste.
- Oversee inventory, warehousing, maintenance, and distribution to meet productivity and cost targets.
- Enforce operational policies, procedures, and standards across all areas of the business.
- Lead and support staff through effective communication, training, and performance management.
- Prepare and review operational reports, including production scores, stock accuracy, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Coordinate machine maintenance schedules and manage equipment assets.
- Monitor stock movements, cycle counts, and manage foam block utilization.
- Support staff with on-the-job training, conflict resolution, and performance evaluations.
**Requirements**:
- Grade 12 with Mathematics - **Essential**:
- A National Certificate (NQF 6) in Operations - **Advantageous**:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior operations or factory management role within manufacturing - **Essential**:
- Strong leadership and conflict management skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management abilities
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Computer literacy: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook - **Essential**:
- Own transport with valid Code 8 driver’s license or reliable transportation - **Essential**:
- Willingness to work extended hours when required
