**Required Minimum Qualifications**
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Post Basic qualification as a Pharmacist Assistant
***Required Minimum Experience**
- Two years’ experience in the public sector and/or community pharmacy sector.
- Experience with pharmacy robotics.
**KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS**
**Medicine Supply management at automation sites**
- Ensure the maintenance of bulk store medicines in line with GPP.
- Co-ordinate movement of stock between the bulk store and Medimat and speed boxes
- Co-ordinate movement of stock between the bulk store and patient parcel packaging area.
- Co-ordinate movement of stock between the bulk store and pre-packing area.
- Ensure that stock levels are kept up to date in all systems
- Communicate stock outages or short dated stock to the responsible pharmacist.
- Do regular stock counts and assist in scheduled stock-takes.
- Record expired stock and coordinate proper disposal thereof with the responsible pharmacist.
**Maintaining stock within automation site**
- Ensure that the speedbox and medimat are always loaded with what is needed for the day in line with loading guidelines
- Do weekly maintenance on the stock within the machine to ensure that there are no discrepancies or items with errors
- Compile reports from the system to inform loading requirements
- Ensure adequate stockpiles of pre-packaged medication
- Updating Thembalethu Pharmacy Trimed stock master
**Administration of Patients at automation site and Collect&Go support**
- Parcel preparation for the Collect&Go lockers
- Processing prescriptions for Collect&Go (scheduling, filing etc)
- Load parcels into the Collect&Go lockers and retrieve expired parcels
- Escalate any Collect&Go issues
- Co-ordinate movement of stock between the bulk store and patient parcel packing area
- Ensure adequate stock is available
- Admin associated with Collect&Go (pulling reports etc)
- Update patient profiles with demographic information as requested
**Record and data management**
- Ensure that stock management files and records are available at facilities
- Documentation and reporting of discrepancies from suppliers
- Assist the automation site to maintain data and ensure accurate statistics
**Research**
- Support the collection of data -this includes the pulling of standard reports from the system
- Recording of statistics as requested
**Maintaining the automation facility**
- Ensure that all areas containing pharmaceutical stock and where patient interactions occur are kept to GPP standards.
- Report discrepancies to the responsible pharmacist
- Ensure that the DPL trays (5 sided boxes) are regularly cleared from the catchment area and reloaded
