Technical Buyer

a. Purchasing of materials, components, tools, equipment, supplies etc. on behalf of the company.

b. Negotiate optimal pricing and discounts with suppliers.

c. Negotiate optimal lead times for the supply of items and follow up on deliveries.

d. Initiate data files for the consolidation of BOM and update the BOM to suit the ideal product listed items.

e. Maintain data and prepare monthly report & file.

f. Source optimal suppliers for products and materials.

g. Source and identify alternative components.

h. Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.

i. Analyse market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability.

j. Resolve vendor and/or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers.

l. Study quality of products, determine vendors from whom purchases will be made, place orders, negotiate and renew contracts, investigate complaints and secure adjustments.

m. Maintain accuracy of required Quantities, delivery/collection dates.

n. Formulate and manage the weekly driver schedule for deliveries/collections.

o. Compile and maintain product codes for products

p. Maintain product price list for sales

q. Create and maintain MRP’s for selected products.

r. Capturing of Deliveries

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Roodepoort, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

- Buying: 4 years (required)
- Sage: 1 year (required)
