**About the Role**
As the Junior Retail Product Owner, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across Silvertree’s brands and work with the Group Product Managers and Group Head of Technology, as well our Retail team and store managers, to deliver on strategic goals. This role is hybrid: computer-based work will be largely remote with some in-office days, while you will need to be excited about spending solid time in-store with our retail teams.
**Key Responsibilities**
**System Expertise**
- Act as a system expert for our retail tools (point of sale, merchandising, integrations with finance and stock tools / ERP, etc).
- Support other departments and manage internal communications with the retail and tech teams.
- Coordinate testing and deployment plans, ensuring smooth store technology rollouts.
- Identify efficiencies and propose solutions based on system insights and retail best practices.
**Customer Experience Improvement**
- Analyse customer experience and operational needs to recommend improvements.
- Research market trends and data to generate feature ideas that delight customers.
- Collaborate with the retail and tech team to bring innovative solutions to life.
**Staff Experience Improvement**
- Spend time on the shop floor, seeing how our teams use our technology tools in practice.
- Generate and execute system and process changes to save staff time and help them provide amazing experiences to customers.
- Monitor training of store teams, to ensure that our systems are used correctly, and that data collection is accurate.
**Project Management**
- Create and manage development tickets, oversee project timelines, and manage sprint processes.
- Present product-driven initiatives and opportunities, creating roadmaps and prioritising tasks.
- Approve deployments, conduct Quality Assurance, and provide training to business users.
- Track project metrics (e.g., sprint velocity, time logs) and prepare regular reports.
**Key Requirements**
- **Qualifications & Experience**
- A degree/diploma or equivalent experience.
- 1-2 years in product or project management within an agile environment.
- Experience in retail, business analysis, or quality assurance.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum) and ticket management tools (JIRA, Asana).
- Willingness to travel to stores and spend time with retail teams.
- **Skills & Competencies**
- Strong reporting, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Analytical mindset with systematic problem-solving skills.
- Ability to balance multiple projects and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, self-discipline, and goal-oriented.
- **Advantageous**:
- Experience with ecommerce, retail technologies (e.g., POS systems).
