**Description of tasks - KPA**
**- Recruitment**
- Sourcing the necessary information on the position from the Manager
- Drafting of the job specification
- Drafting and placing adverts (both internally and externally)
- Screening CV’s received against the job specification
- Schedule, coordinate and conduct interviews
- Administer appropriate assessments and background checks
- Advising Director or Manager on salaries to be offered
- Ensuring that positions are filled within agreed or reasonable time periods
- Relationship building with departments and department heads
- Conducting reference checks as and when required
- Provide feedback to job applicants / agencies
- Drawing up contracts of employment
- Set up medical for all new employees prior to the commencement
- Creating job descriptions and profiles together with line management
- Ensure on-boarding is done for all new employees. Sitting with each new employee and assisting them with their new employment pack what to fill in, explaining of policies and procedures
- To ensure the successful take-on of new employees, including: relevant checks, generating contracts of employment for new employees, accurate processing of all paperwork, according to an appointment checklist
**Industrial/Labour Relations and Policies and Procedures**:
- Assist with drafting and implementing all company policies and procedures and BCEA, BBBEE,
- Provide sound advice to Managers: Counselling sessions and disciplinary enquiries
- Conduct and facilitate informal grievance discussions up to middle management ( karen and I either do them together or she will handle more senior ones on her own )
- Arrange all prep work with managers and assist with witness prep
- Manage and facilitate investigations, disciplinary enquiry processes and grievance matters with the Line Manager concerned, all bundles and investigation work is done by myself and then time is spent o prep work with managers to get them ready for the disciplinary enquiry
- Provide advice and guidance on employee misconduct / poor performance cases, ensuring that these are well managed and meet the requirements of best practice and are in accordance with relevant employment legislation (From General worker to Middle Management)
- Drive the Counselling session, ensuring that all follow-up sessions take place at the agreed times
- Work closely with Managers and employees, providing guidance and support on the full range of HR activities (including policies and procedures, terms and conditions of employment, absence management, performance management, retrenchments and the like), to ensure a consistent and fair approach to people management in conjunction with the HR Manager
- Ensure that Managers and employees are aware of the policies and
- Accurate reporting and/or escalation to HR Manager on issues arising in the workplace
- Assisting in all closing arguments of the CCMA
- Drafting of all charge sheets and typing and assisting managers with opening statements evidence to lead, mitigating and aggravating circumstances and closing arguments.
- Section 189 letters, distribution of letters, drafting of letters, liaising with union on documentation required for consultations.
**Performance Management**:
- Assist with monitoring and review of the performance appraisal process, ensuring that appraisals are carried out in a timely manner and followed up
- Assist with ensuring managers and employees are aware of how to conduct the performance appraisal process and provide any up skilling required
- Pip programmes in place where necessary if manager does not comply to escalate to HR manager
- Escalate any issues that are raised during the process to the HR Manager
**Training and Development**
- To assist in collation of all information for training/skills/competency needs from staff.
- Setting up and driving training plans with service providers as required
- Data collection & assisting with the preparation of the annual BBBEE reporting and verification process
- Booking training has been placed on hold as institutes can not host exams only legislative training can be booked and take place
**Skills and Development and Employment Equity**
- Full Development of the workplace skills plan is done by me
- Liaise with SETA when required
- Submitting the skills development plan (WSP & ATR) to relevant SETA’s within the prescribed timeframe
- Following up with the seta/ labournet to ensure refunds received.
- Submitting the Employment Equity report within specified timeframe to the Labour Department.
- Setting up the meetings
- Ensuring that the consultant has the necessary information required
**Salary**: R18,000.00 - R22,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Germiston, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
