The overall objective of this Duty Controller role is to effectively manage and oversee the general office administration, staff compliance/availability, and operations, to ensure daily tasks are completed seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily task management
- Being the sole point of contact for contractors when on shift
- Dealing with emergency situations (breakdowns / road closures etc)
- Responsible for managing and monitoring anything that could put the daily operations at risk
- Going over issues for days not in office and solving those issues
- Producing detailed reports of issues that are ongoing / solved and solutions
- Finding staff if someone calls in sick etc
- Building relationships with maintenance providers, towing companies etc
- Checking defect reports / drivers hours for legalities
- Someone in touch with staff to do tech / kit checks weekly and keep log
- Responsible for record keeping and updating all sheets with regards to duty operations daily
- Supporting staff/contractors with shifts / queries

Skills Required
- Previous remote/online work experience essential
- Ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills are required in a high pressure environment
- Strong operational skills, with the ability to foresee potential challenges before they arise
- Understanding of the transport industry
- Ability to multitask essential
- Google Sheets, Docs and folders knowledge
- Efficient at record-keeping
- Strong customer relationship skills
- Problem Solver, without seeking too much guidance
- Solution driven
- Knowledge of buses and/or transport would be highly beneficial
- Able to work under pressure, fast paced environment

Pay: R22 000,00 per month
