**Product Implementation Consultant (Foundry Industry)**

**Introduction**

A manufacturing and engineering company based in Alberton is seeking to employ a Product Implementation Consultant, with at least 2 years of technical experience within the foundry industry, to join their energetic and dynamic team.

**Job purpose**

**Required Minimum Education / Training**
- Meltshop: A relevant Metallurgical/Material Science Engineering degree or diploma or will have gained the equivalent skills, knowledge and experience via relevant focused and certified vocational experience.
- Coreshop: A relevant Metallurgical/Material Science Engineering degree or diploma or will have gained the equivalent skills, knowledge and experience via relevant focused and certified vocational experience.
- Methods: Foundry pattern-making trade.

**Required Minimum Work Experience**
- Minimum two years of technical experience in the Foundry Industry.
- Have a solid background/understanding of foundries' operations

**Technical Competencies**
- Good communications skills in English, both oral and written and at least one other official language used in the Foundry industry in South Africa.
- Must be computer literate (MS Office, CAD).
- Adaptability to changing market environments and operating systems
- People management skills

- Be able to demonstrate total enthusiasm for the foundry industry and the resilience and desire to succeed

**Accountabilities**:

**Stakeholder relations**
- Provide local technical support and work very closely with the Sales team and customers.
- Communicate best practices with the aid of prepared case studies.
- Increase penetration / retention at existing customers.
- Secure existing business and build on this.
- Collect market competitor information for analysis and report on competitor activities and market trends to ensure that the marketing information database is kept current.
- Make sure all products are applied in the correct way to create value for the customer and value for the company (Economic Value to Customer (EVC)).
- Visit customers to ensure that products are continually being applied according to the company’s prescribed practices.
- Assess customer requirements, special deliveries and complaints.
- Investigate the performance of product groups at customers and assist with corrective actions.
- Evaluate products and opportunities for solutions and implementation at selected customers where needed.
- Evaluate opportunities regarding the introduction of new products.
- Assess the development of new products or recipe adjustments to existing products
- Participate in industry events.

**Reporting and presentations**
- Responsible for compiling technical reports and presentations in conjunction with the Product Managers and the Sales team on the relevant aspects related to the customer’s needs.
- Report on projects in progress and receive guidance on priorities and opportunities.
- Assist with the creation and delivery of presentations and reports
- Contributes to the development of new products and solutions.

**Trials and general responsibilities**
- Scheduling of manufacturing trials for product developments.
- Perform trials on-site at customer’s premises.
- Participate in CCAR investigations.

**Health and Safety**
- Adhere and perform duties in accordance with the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and requirements.

**Standard accountabilities**
- Maintain high-quality standard for all tasks carried out
- Executes specific deliverables
- Report risks and opportunities for improvement related to duties
- Assist with marketing plans and budgets and regular stock takes.
- Required to perform ad hoc duties as and when required.
