**Description**:

- The incumbent would be responsible for leading the group’s Agri Channel Category sourcing, contracts, procurement and purchasing services whilst managing a team of highly specialised procurement managers in giving effect to the group procurement strategy.
- Awareness of the context and implications of all things procurement and acting as a change advocate to implement the category strategy objectives, both internally and externally
- Engaging and maintaining productive and value adding relationships with customers as well as internal and external stakeholders whilst influencing best fit procurement solutions
- Agri central stock planning and allocations
- Agri central buying, demand forecasting, bulk ordering, spot buying, expediting & claims
- Agri central selling price management on selected ranges and bulk supply agreements
- Good governance in all aspects of the Agri Channel Category management environment
- Leading AGRI high impact teams
- Vendor & contract management - nationally
- Maintaining costs and ensure, safe, reliable, efficient functional resources linked to people
- Market information mining by scanning the macro environment - trend analyses
- Business to Business - Agri input trading portal
- Business to Supplier - product data and governance

**Qualifications**:

- Relevant Tertiary Qualification (Commercial or Agricultural)
- A minimum of 10 years’ related agricultural procurement experience, of which 5 years should be at a senior management level
- Ability to integrate data analytics, scenario planning and execution
- Handle complexity of a procurement book valued at R4b +
