Varsity College is an educational brand of The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE). The IIE enjoys the reputation of being at the forefront of private higher education in South Africa and is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) to provide higher education qualifications accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE).
**The IIE Varsity College, Sandton Campus has a vacancy for a Junior Student Advisor.**
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Creating Brand Awareness**
- Distributes marketing material to prospective parents, students and schools.
- Markets the brand in targeted areas and educates opinion leaders about Varsity College.
- Facilitates presentations at schools (when required) and hands out interest cards to prospective students.
- Cold calls to parents and students.
- Represents the brand at career expos and career fairs.
- Facilitates stakeholder events.
**Recruitment of Students**
- Conducts sufficient calls to prospective students to schedule sufficient appointments so that weekly and monthly targets can be met.
- Responds to on-line and telephonic enquiries.
- Demonstrates the IIE's Varsity College philosophy.
- Advises students on their qualification of interest and explains The IIE's Varsity College admission criteria.
**Stakeholder (Schools) Relationship Management**
- If and when required: Manages relations with all stakeholders to generate school presentation bookings.
**Sales Target Achievement**
- Achieve all set targets on a daily, weekly, monthly, annual basis, including targeted conversion ratios.
**Competencies required**:

- Interpersonal and communications skills.
- Best suited to a friendly, tenacious, target driven, organised person who works accurately and can handle pressure.
- Time management skills.
- A proactive problem-solver who can work independently and in a team environment.
**Minimum Qualification required**:

- Minimum of 3 Year Diploma or Bachelor’ Degree in PR/Business/Marketing/ Communications
**Minimum Work Experience required**:

- Minimum of 1 - 2 years sales experience
**Working Conditions**:

- Driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
