**Job description**:
This person will be a key point of contact for customers and will perform a variety of administrative tasks including clerical and administrative support.
**Responsibilities**:
- Greeting: Welcoming visitors and clients, and helping them feel comfortable
- Answering calls: Taking and directing phone calls, and providing information to callers
- Administrative tasks: Filing, delivering and receiving mail
- Customer service: Providing customer support, answering questions, and representing the business positively
- Maintaining and overseeing the reception area: Organising
- Setting up meetings: Booking and Preparing boardrooms for meetings
- Security: Maintaining front door security and reporting suspicious activity
- Supporting staff: Assisting employees with administrative tasks including but not limited to deceased estates and other fiduciary services
**Minimum Requirements**:
- Matric
- 5+ years administration experience in the financial services industry
- Computer literacy (MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook)
**Competencies**:
- Receptionists are often the first point of contact for customers, so they should be friendly, polite, and able to handle difficult situations
- Need to be able to answer calls promptly, speak professionally, and relay information accurately
- Professional demeanour

- Excellent interpersonal skills
