National Planning Administrator Distribution / Transport / Logistics / Supply Chain ~ FMCG / Food & Bev /Agri

Johannesburg East, Johannesburg - Gauteng - South Africa

Reporting to the Distribution Manager you will have a tertiary qualification in Warehousing/Logistics and have gained solid experience in the FMCG/Food sector in a similar position. You will be responsible for all administration relating to inventory, transport, fleet routing, proof of deliveries and distribution of stock.

Qualifications, skills, and experience:

- Minimum Grade 12 Certificate
- A Warehouse related Tertiary Qualification will be advantageous
- Fluency in English.
- Fully vaccinated.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the FMCG industry
- Good understanding of the FMCG environment
- Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
- Independent and disciplined worker
- Good financial and business acumen
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to cope under pressure and work overtime when required
- Own reliable transport

Key Result Areas:

- Capturing orders and sending stock-picking plans through to inventory
- Ensuring correct last-in-first-out stock-holding procedures
- Consolidating stock quantity, stock keeping unit (SKU) numbers, descriptions, and pallets quantity
- Planning weekly full link loads across principals and Distribution Centres
- Following up for proof of deliveries (PODs) from transporters
- Direct loads Recovery Billing on what was spent on transport.
- Tracking of truck locations by GPS system, monitoring vehicle movement
- Monitoring truck driver performance
- Developing and presenting daily management reports.
- Implementing checks on operating routes and month-end stats.
