Responsible for systems process analysis, design and simulation. Assists in conducting mapping sessions with business units to facilitate process enhancement and change in terms of business strategies. Has reasonable understanding of organisation's business systems. Focus is on process analysis and re-engineering, with an understanding of business and technical problems and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environments. Assists in facilitating quality improvement interventions. What will make you successful in this role?
Job purpose
Glacier established an internal consultancy business, called Business Change, within the Business & Investment Solutions team during 2019. This function is responsible for assisting the business in translating their strategic intent into strategic initiatives, conceptual designs, target operating models and business cases. These in turn lead to projects that establish the required business models or solutions including technology and IT systems which realise the conceptual designs.
The business consultant role drives the conceptual phases of this process, sets up the necessary initiatives and ensures that these initiatives deliver on the business cases.

**Key Responsibilities**:
The Business Consultant will be expected to achieve the following outcomes:

- Analyse Glacier’s business strategy and identify suitable change initiatives to realise the strategy
- Drive innovation initiatives or investigations to find suitable alternatives to business challenges
- Develop conceptual solutions and alternatives for solving key business problems. This typically covers areas such as:

- Understanding key business drivers and KPI’s
- Strategies to realise desired outcomes
- Target operating model and capability requirements
- Liaising with IT Architecture regarding technology solutions required
- Staff and budget impacts
- Alignment with SPF & Glacier’s strategy and business architecture
- Assist in developing Business Cases and benefit realisation plans for initiatives that will implement required changes and may require funding from PPIC
- Initiate initiatives or enhancements to implement required solution and involvement throughout the implementation phase
- Ensure changes are operationalised effectively
- Ensure benefits tracking and realization plans are in place
- Continuous engagement with all parties affected by the initiatives or enhancements

Qualifications and experience

Qualification and Experience Degree or Diploma with 4 to 6 years related experience.
