Training and Development
- Design and develop engaging and effective butcher training programs, aligned with industry standards and company best practices.
- Deliver butcher training programs, both in classroom and on-the-job settings, covering areas such as:
- Safe handling and storage of meat
- Butchery cuts - identification, preparation, and breakdown techniques
- Use and maintenance of butchering equipment
- Customer service best practices for the butcher counter
- Food safety and hygiene regulations
- Conduct practical assessments to evaluate trainees' understanding and competence.
- Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to support trainees in their development.
- Maintain accurate training records and reports.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in butchery techniques.
- Collaborate with the Butchery Manager to identify training needs within the department
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employees and management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in dispute resolution and conflict management.
- Knowledge of collective bargaining processes and techniques.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
**Education**:
- Primary (preferred)
