Commercial Insurance Broker - Pretoria

A Commercial Insurance Broker position is available in Menlyn, Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa.

Short term Commercial Insurance Portfolio Managers.

My client is based in Menlyn, Pretoria and is currently recruiting for Short Term Commercial Insurance Broker / Portfolio Managers with at least 3 years’ experience.

It is important that the person comes from a broker and not an insurer.

The company also specializes in commercial insurance.

You must preferably come with your own book or be able to develop new commercial business.

We need people that are completely bilingual in both English and Afrikaans.

**Responsibilities - Commercial Insurance Broker**:

- Sourcing of new clients through existing networks and referrals
- Assessing client’s insurance needs and their risk profiles
- Collecting all the relevant information required in the underwriting process
- Assisting clients with claims, amendments, and renewals
- Retaining of existing clients
- Developing excellent relationships with clients and all insurers
- Arranging specialised insurance cover where needed. This involve preparing reports to substantiate cover placements
- Assisting clients with operational risk management that may lead to non
- conventional insurance placements, e.g. alternative risk transfers
- Keeping up to date with industry changes and new developments

- Achieving and exceeding targets
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Well organised with an understanding of priorities and changing demands
- Good administration, record keeping and planning skills
- Must be able to work well under pressure
- Client and service orientated
- Handle claim enquiries that are too difficult for the office administrators to sort out.

**Requirements**:

- Fully FAIS and RE accredited
- Full insurance qualification
- Own reliable vehicle
- Valid drivers license
- Broker orientated experience
- Commercial sales and underwriting experience
- Multi-lingual would be advantageous
- Good communication skills and telephone etiquette

MUST have own transport as you will be required to travel to clients.

We need go-getters that are experienced in the field.

Salary will be around R20 000 - R45 000 pm (you basically write your own salary).

If targets are consistently met you will also get a 13th cheque.
