- **Job Description**_
- Ensuring a balanced product range and assortment of merchandise that is correctly priced in line with the market need.
- Supporting Brand Manager in delivering the brand strategy so as to achieve a financial performance in line with Brand positioning and agreed objectives.
- Responsible for leading buying process for the category, including range building, procurement of seasonal product ranges and for stock level management.
- Initiating/managing/implementing/supporting the creation and execution of a strategic long-range planning process for the category.
- Overseeing the management of functional relationships between Brands and suppliers as well as internal/external stakeholders to ensure the achievement of operational deliverables.
- Co-ordinating, planning and budgeting including post seasonal analysis, market feedback, trend analysis and retail shopping lists for the category.
- Ensuring the category range satisfies both the wholesale and retail strategies and providing input to both these channels.
- Creating presentations for monthly and quarterly Business Reviews and regular updates to Management.
- **Key Requirements**_
- Bachelors Degree in Commerce/Business Administration essential.
- Honours/Masters Degree desirable.
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in footwear buying and category management essential.
- Previous experience with international major brand Licensors desirable.
- Good communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).
- Good problem-solving skills and a creative approach for new ideas.
- High level of planning and organising skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good leadership skills.
- Computer literate (Intermediate level - Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to travel (local and overseas).
