**Role description**

The Global Strategic Partnership Head is a critically important role, leading and coordinating GPH Global Strategic Partnership team. The GSP Head is responsible to partner with critical internal and external implementors and donors to activate insight-driven solutions leveraging scaled resources to achieve greater patient impact. The GSP Head will lead a team of Global Strategic Partnership leaders who are responsible for the programmatic strategy of different franchises, provide expertise on partnerships and partnership management as a GPH Center of Excellence. Coordinates with internal stakeholders and functions the development of stories and stage moments around signature partnerships and programs to enhance J&J reputation. This individual will continue to lead and grow the GSP function in Global Public Health, ensuring continued evolution and expanded impact of GSP.

Serving as a core member of GPH Franchise Leadership Team and External Affairs Council supports the strategy, goals and objectives of Franchises and overall external engagement. It is highly strategic and facilitative business role that requires senior level strategic planning, strong business acumen, highly developed and proven collaboration and networking skills and the ability to drive results directly and through matrix influence and authority. This role requires a highly resourceful individual with strong emotional intelligence, self-motivation, and strong analytical skills. The role ensures and drives alignment across GPH functions, including external affairs, government affairs, communications, consumer insights, medical affairs, GPH R&D, Africa Implementation team, market access and program management operations.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Coordinate and lead GSP Lead Team supporting different franchises and disease areas, providing guidance, strategy and leveraging synergies between the different areas.
- Lead a team of GSP leaders that focus on strategic research and analysis: Reviewing and analyzing existing partnership and recommend future ones aligned with Franchise strategy, reputation engagement and external engagement strategy
- External engagement and relationship: partner with key leader external partners outside of JNJ in the global public health ecosystem on strategic public health priorities, helping to drive strategy and execution of these initiatives.
- Lead and create a critical strategic function in GPH around bilaterals, multi-lateral organizations (MLO) and non-government organization (NGO) engagement. Specifically, the role would look to not only scan the external public health arena across Bilaterals, MLOs and NGOs to determine what organizations are seeking in terms of public health partnerships, but also what capabilities can we bring to these organizations due to our breadth and depth as a cross-sector, cross-functional entity.
- Process Excellence: Ensure coordination with different GPH function to enhance GSP function and as Center of Excellence for Partnerships and strategic programmatic interventions.
- Responsible to identify the right opportunity, prioritize resources and develop talents for external engagement and design of relevant programs.

Ensure GSP leaders and programmatic opportunities deliver the franchise strategy while partnering closely with CSI to deliver capability and coordinated close
