This role is responsible for the overall performance of the Housekeeping Team as a whole by supervising the housekeeping staff, maintenance staff and service providers to ensure service delivery standards are met, particularly in relation to the overall well-being of employees. Key Performance indicators include maintaining property standards, variance to budget and required benchmark issue/ticket resolution. As the role is a management role within the business, this person will also be responsible for instilling and encouraging the Neighbourgood culture within the team under their guidance.

**Responsibilities**
- To manage the annual team and report to the Hospitality Manager and Operations Manager.
- Implement operational changes to ensure that team objectives are met.
- Manage, attend to, assign and monitor tasks and duties on the company task tracking system (this is currently ASANA)
- Ensure that all staff maintain procedures and around in house cleans, deep cleans and turnarounds.
- Ensure that key service provider relationships are maintained.
- Ensure compliance to company policies and procedures and other applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist to Oversee insurance claim processes are appropriately managed.
- Provide ongoing supervision of direct reports, providing daily work direction, scheduling, performance evaluations and/or training.
- Overseeing a team consisting of housekeeping and assisting and advising them on performing their duties to the best of their ability and for the benefit of the company as a whole.
- Manage linen par levels across all locations in line with company standards
- Manage stock control of a centralised linen store room which provides location linen through accurate stock ordering and projection.
- Maintain inhouse laundry policies and turnaround.
- Ensure monthly stock taking procedures are maintained in line with company policies.
- Maintain stock on hand and ensure that ordering is done timeously from procurement and maintain monthly budget allocations in accordance with company policies
- Ensure the running and maintaining of onsight consumables store as well as laundry facilities and maintain relationships with necessary suppliers.
- Ensure Company policies and procedures are being adhered to.
- Monitoring of the location’s communication channel, such as Slack and/or WhatsApp (if applicable).

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- 3 - 5 years professional knowledge and/or work experience
- Minimum of 3 years in Hospitality or Property Management
- 2 Years management position
- Industry/related experience - Hotels and resorts
- You will be able to demonstrate a high level of agility in a demanding environment and be able to effectively communicate with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Exceptional people management skills will be considered fundamental together with a motivated and commercially astute approach.

**Salary**: From R18,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (required)

**Experience**:

- 3 years Venue Management (required)
