General Foreman
We are recruiting for a general foreman who exibits strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Duties include but are not limited to; Overseeing the execution of work, trades and other functions including quality, safety and productivity. Understand and maintain project pace as established by the site management team (contracts manager or Site Agent). Manage and guide proper use of tools and equipment. Ensure compliance, daily maintenance, cleaning and safety checks of equipment and assets. Supervises duties of other Foremen, subcontractors and labour. Provides onsite project progress and communications to Management staff as well as customer representatives. Prepares and sits in on crew performance appraisals. Tracks materials and inventory and identifying site needs and delivery dates. Communicates status updates to leadership and, when required, customers in a clear, concise, and timely manner. Organises and plans resources and schedules accordingly on a 2 weekly basis to ensure proper distribution of the workload. Responsible for final Quality Assurance /
Quality Control of the work performed by crews.
**Requirements**:
Ability to work as and when required to attain milestones and key dates. At least 5 years’ experience as a Senior Foreman, General Foreman or specialist foreman is a must.
Trade tested in either one of the building trades or university qualified in a national diploma or degree. Valid driver’s license.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
