The Sheet Metal Worker (SMW) will be responsible for new development around Metal parts and
other various parts, requiring an understanding of metal and the use of required tools and machinery (i.e., Spot welding machines and grinders).

**Key Responsibilities**

Work closely with the Design team for Development and building of prototypes, samples and Finished products.
- To Measure, cut, and weld pieces together according to specifications, drawings, or directions.
- Operate various tools that precisely cut, bend, or straighten the metal sheets.
- Advise on cost reduction/quality improvement.
- Performs other duties as required by Production Manager.

**Required Skills And Abilities**

Steel work, such as welding, forming, and rolling.
- Basic Maintenance skills (Facilities or Machinery Maintenance).
- Selection of sheet metal according to shop drawings.
- Measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets
- Welding different sheets of metal together
- Polishing metal areas like rough surfaces or the seams and joints between two sheets of metals
- Operating tools and equipment safely and productively.

**Education And Experience**

High School Diploma.
- N2 or N3 will be advantageous.
- Proven experience in metal working industry.

**Physical Requirement**
- Working with tools and machinery and handling of materials.

**Education**:

- High School (matric) (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Johannesburg, Gauteng (preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Relocate before starting work (preferred)
