Somerset West, South Africa Care Facility Full time

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Ensure that the cutlery, cups, mugs, and glasses are clean and polished when serving;
- Be responsible for the tea and coffee stations, ensuring that all tea stations are fully equipped all the time;
- Maintain an adequate supply of stock in tea stations, and keep stock of all crockery and cutlery in tea stations;
- Assist with preparing platters for tea time;
- Set and clear the tables for Residents meals and functions;
- Help with serving Residents and Visitors meals;
- Ensure tea stations are set up, tidy, and clean at all times;
- Assist with breakfast preparations;
- Assist with preparing evening sandwiches;
- Wash the dishes and cutlery;
- Clean the dishwasher after each meal;
- Wash the floors after every shift;
- Take full responsibility in the dishing up of all staff meals;
- Assist with serving of staff meals;
- Set and clear tablecloths in the dining room taking them from and to the Kitchen;
- Attend all training programs organized by the company.

**Requirements**:

- 1-year relevant work experience in the Hospitality industry or as a cook-hand/ kitchen assistant.
- Understand hygiene and health and safety in the preparation and serving of food
- Excellent personal hygiene
- Good reading, writing and speaking of English
- Grade 11 completed
- Clear criminal record
