To be successful in this role you need to be methodical and adept at handling difficult and stressful situations. As the Wedding Planner you will be expected to keep abreast of the latest wedding trends as well as being able to demonstrate exceptional communication, organization and customer service skills.
Direct responsibilities:
- Conducting initial consultations with guests to discuss the wedding packages available, the type of wedding desired, their wedding budget.
- Conferring with guests to discuss wedding details, including venue options as well as entertainment, catering and decoration preferences.
- Schedule meetings with guests to discuss the various wedding venue options at Benguela Cove as well as assisting and arranging other services, florists, photography, designers etc.
- Negotiating contracts with external vendors as required.
- Managing and liaising with the guest to ensure ongoing communication right up to the time of the wedding.
- Managing and monitoring the wedding on the day to ensure that it runs to plan.

- Proven wedding or events planning experience
- Proficient in software packages
- Strong networking and negotiating skills
- Excellent problem solving, organisational and time-management skills
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Detail orientated, methodical and creative.
