- We are seeking to appoint an individual who will ensure that all products produced by MCC Labels are inspected and tested to ensure conformance to specification and any defects are reported and resolved immediately.
- The Role
- In this exciting and varied role, you will:

- Inspection and Testing
- Physical take measurements and thereafter accurately complete QA Check sheet; QA Laminating Check Sheet; Cold Seal/Bond Strength and GSM Check sheet; QA/QC Specification Check sheet (SPC).
- Ensure all rejects are identified, labeled correctly and isolated in the quarantine area.
- Ensure that samples of each reel from production run are kept.
- Ensure that the Inspection and Testing is done according to the Production Order.
- Conversion Inspections.
- Quality Assurance
- Ensuring that COA’s conform to Customers’ purchase order and that first reels’ inspection results are recorded therein.
- Ensure that test equipment used is not outside calibration with reference to due date.
- Ensure that test solutions (dyne, solvents, etc) are current.
- Administration
- Ensure that the GSM spreadsheet on the laboratory computer is updated for each customer order.
- Where required and within reasonable request, assist the laboratory technicians with laboratory functions.
- Health & Safety
- Adhere to all Health and Safety Procedures.
- Wear prescribed and issued Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in the correct manner.
- Work according to the written Standard and Safe Operating Procedures applicable to the task found in the MCC Labels: Safety Manual.
- Actively support and adhere to the ISO 22000 Management Systems policies, procedures and standard operating procedures ensuring legal compliance, prevention of pollution and achieving set objectives
- The Person
- To succeed in this role you will:

- Grade 12 with Mathematics
- 3 years’ experience in packaging and labeling industry
- Microsoft package - (Excel / Word)
- ERP (Radius an advantage)
