**Project Lead (Educational Technology)**
**CHERTL**
**Main Objectives**
The purpose of this role is to support the operational work of the Educational Technology team in CHERTL. The incumbent will be required to support all LMS users’ (staff and students) needs for technical support.
**The Requirements**
A Bachelor’s Degree (preferably Honors Degree) with at least two years’ experience where such experience includes:
- Working in a team environment
- Experience in supporting Educational Technologies for teaching and learning in higher education.
- Experience using Moodle at a Systems Administrator/Advanced level
- Track record of administration, management and/or leadership roles in a support environment
- Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting and computer problem-solving skills
- Can work independently and does not require training to perform this role
- Excellent communication and relationship building capabilities with internal and external stakeholders
- Project Management skills and prior experience with Systems Change Management would be an advantage.

**Remuneration per annum (Grade 11)**:
Basic Pensionable Salary per annum: R380,997.00
Cost to Company per annum (Approximately): R510,672.00
Rhodes University has a vaccination mandate as part of its Conditions of Service. The implementation of the vaccine mandate has been held in abeyance from 01 January 2023. Should the COVID-19 situation change in a way that the number of cases of COVID-19 pose a threat to the University, the implementation of the Vaccine Mandate will be re-activated and all staff would be required to be fully vaccinated.
