Then this is the ideal job for you - **Responsibilities**: - Successfully source and procure a balanced range of merchandise in line with company strategy. - Work closely with the planner, through analysis of previous sales patterns, market trends and brand initiatives. - Formulate departmental strategies to maximize sales and then timeously source and secure stock to implement strategies. - Extremely strong negations skills - Negotiate effectively to deliver Financial business KPI’S - Build and maintain good relationships with employees, suppliers, and key functions in the business. - Have a solid understanding of Quick Response model - Understand Fast fashion and VALUE as part of the FIX BRAND DNA - Contribute to growth /profit through innovative ideas - Availability to go on buying trips (local and international) - To be able to be understand and deliver a clear product strategy aligned FIX BIG BRAND STRATEGY - Think in terms of the "big picture" as well as consider specifics and detail. - Strong analytical skill that drives product efficiencies and key measures - Assess complex situations and implement workable solutions. - Communicate effectively at all levels. - Team player and be able to foster collaboration across buying and planning functions. **Requirements**: - Have experience as a Buyer (4+ years essential) - An entrepreneurial, merchant-style of thinking - Excellent planning, organisational and interpersonal skills. - Good analytical skills - High attention to detail - Excellent Time management skills - Good communication skills - Good judgement and problem-solving skills - Uncompromising negotiation skills - An passionate and strong interest in and knowledge of trends, key influencers, celebrities - Integral understanding of the clothing retail Cycle and Buying Process - A good working knowledge of the current computer software packages (knowledge of Excel, Word & E-mail would be preferable). - Be open-minded, customer-centric, and proactive - High level of EQ and resolution driven - High level of tolerance and resilience. - Must be able to be decisive and ability to handle pressure. - Have a value mind-set, speed & agility and a can-do mentality - Operate in stealth mode - keep abreast of competitor activity, market trends, best practice
