**DUTIES**
- Planning, handling, and controlling shipments from point of loading to destination.
- Receive and verify documentation to be in line with consignee requests and legal responsibility.
- Book or manage booking for vessel and transport instructions.
- Prepare export and import documentation.
- Framing customs compliant import and export entries.
- Submit to customs and monitor via freight forwarder.
- Confirm dispatch / arrival of cargo and arrange relevant delivery, pre
- alerts to clients and or agents.
- Monitor cargo tracing.
- Update shipment schedule as per policy.
- Arrange freight payment and telex releases.
- Issue customs, shipping documents as per shipping requirements.
- Registering, updating, and completing of all files.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Invoicing of files - ensure debtors invoicing are done and additional charges has been communicated to the Finance Manager and included in costing recon.
- Acceptance and confirmations of bookings and charges and communicate with finance.
- Compile shipment charges and compare and communicate to finance.
- Ensure shipments are in line, and not out of budget shipments to be communicated and signed off by both the Operations and Finance Manager.
- Compile and reconcile demurrage, storage, detention, etc charges per shipment, verify costs and communicate with finance.
- Coordinating with agents.
- Reporting on status to all parties involved.
- Check that all information has been captured correctly.
- Processing and submitting of documentation via freight forwarder export bills of entry, imports, ensure service supplier invoices are in line with approved price lists.
- Book and manage daff releases as well as ensuring file is updated with release.
- Ensure that file is complete and handed to finance in a timeous manner.

**Salary**: Negotiable (Dependent on experience)
