Za Harvesting

**Your mission**:

- Reporting to the Snr Harvesting & Transport Forester, the incumbent in this position will assist with the management of modernised harvesting and transport operations in the area.
- Conduct quality, quantity and safety audits.
- Ensure compliance to the FSC, ISO and NOSA standards.
- Ensure compliance and maintenance of safety standards.
- Manage mechanised harvesting contractors in both Pine and Gum.
- Manages loading of road transport trucks from depots or roadside.
- Control deliveries and budget.
- Production planning and adherence to APO targets.
- Ensure data integrity of the compartment information database.
- Road Management, Maintenance and Capex projects
- Ensure good governance is maintained
- Fire Protection & Fire Standby.
- Improve productivity through innovation and optimise cost efficiencies in all operations

**Your profile**:

- Diploma / B Tech or BSc Degree in Forestry
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar position
- Experience in the management of contractors
- In depth knowledge of Harvesting
- Valid driver’s license
