Shipping Coordinator

Location: Capetown

**Salary**: R32 000 - R40 000CTC

**Duties**:

- Establish contact with the supplier on the receipt of the purchase order.
- Coordinate with the supplier and the forwarders re
- shipping dates and modes.of transport.
- Arrange clearance through appointed forwarders.
- Liaise with appropriate departments regarding the progress of shipments.
- Sending out status reports as they are received for updates to the business.
- Calculate shipping cost estimates for imported/export items.
- Ensure that estimates are in line with the actual costs.
- Assist Sales staff with quotes concerning freight estimates.
- Check costing with the Finance Administrator to ensure quotes and actual costing are within normal limits of deviation.
- Maintain record-keeping in an orderly manner.
- Requesting VOC when necessary
- Check import/export documentation against purchase orders.
- Query any discrepancies with the Managers.
- Sales Manager concerned.
- Match shipping documentation.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- 3-5 years similar experience
- Matric
- Computer literacy
- Ms Dynamics or any accounting system.
