**Job Purpose**:
The Department of Transport and Public Works, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to manage the activities of the Traffic Law Administration Compliance Units in the various regions, thus ensuring compliance to traffic legislation throughout the province, evaluating the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of governance, risk management and control. The successful incumbent must be willing to travel regularly as required. This post is stationed in Cape Town.

**Minimum Requirements**:
An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/B-Degree or higher); A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in an administrative working environment; A valid driving licence (Code B/08 or higher).

Note: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities but have reasonable access to transport may also apply.

**Recommendation**:
Registered as an Examiner of driving licences and or Examiner of vehicles.

**Key Performance Areas**:
**Competencies**:
Knowledge of the following: National Road Traffic Act, 1996 (Act 93 of 1996); The National Road Traffic Regulations, 2000; National Traffic Information System (NaTIS); Western Cape Provincial Road Traffic Administration Act 2012; Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act 1 of 1999). Skills needed: Analytical thinking; Proven computer literacy (Ms Office suite); Planning; Organising; Research; Problem solving; Decision making; Communication (Verbal and written); Client service orientated; Budget and Financial management; Human Resource Management.

**Remuneration**:
R 382 245 per annum (Salary Level 9).
