Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- A relevant master's degree;
- Evidence of at least one article published in peer-reviewed journals;
- Willingness to supervise postgraduate students;
- A relevant BEd or equivalent teaching qualification with a preferable specialisation in early childhood development or foundation phase teaching;
- Thorough knowledge of current changes, policies and practices in early childhood development or foundation phase teaching and education;
- Relevant experience in early childhood development or foundation phase teaching in the primary school context and/or higher education.

- Bewys van minstens een gepubliseerde artikel in eweknie-beoordeelde vaktydskrifte;
- Bereidwilligheid om studieleiding aan nagraadse studente te bied;

- Toepaslike ervaring in vroeë kinderontwikkeling of grondslagfase-onderwys in 'n laerskoolkonteks en/of tersiêre onderrig.

Recommendation/Aanbeveling
- A PhD or proof of registration for a relevant PhD (past proposal stage);
- Emerging scholarship around literacy development;
- Language skills for learning and teaching across the curriculum, especially in the foundation phase;
- Experience and/or knowledge of computer-assisted instruction;
- Published articles in peer-reviewed and indexed journals.
- Peer-reviewed papers delivered at recognised education conferences.
